GrooveMaster Bass Grooves is an intuitive bass loop player featuring grooves by bass legend Antonio “Tony” Newton.

1800+ original signature bass grooves are arranged in a 3-dimensional grid of 16 groove styles, 10 patterns and 12 keys that may be triggered at any time, at any tempo while maintaining sync with a DAW host, making possible endless combinations, even within a single bar. In addition there are 11 slides that may be triggered at any time without disrupting the sync of the played groove.

Antonio “Tony” Newton, Detroit/LA bass man whose career spans from the early days of the electric bass - with John Lee Hooker and Little Walter, and as staff bass player at Motown alongside James Jamerson, through his later fusion work with Tony Williams, up until today with his own funk/rock group TNT Xtreme.
Baby Funk Brother Tony Newton toured and recorded with Motown artists such as Diana Ross and the Supremes, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Four Tops, Temptations, Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, Spinners, and he held a 7-year tenure as music director for Smokey Robinson & the Miracles. A little known fact is that Newton and James Jamerson played together as two basses on many Motown hits. Newton was also the staff bassist for the talented songwriting-producing team, Holland-Dozier-Holland, and their Invictus-Hotwax label.
Later, Newton gained recognition as one of the founding fathers of fusion, as bassist-composer-vocalist in the acclaimed jazz-rock fusion group: The Tony Williams Lifetime, penning fusion classics Snake Oil and Red Alert. Newton was also a member of the British hard rock group, G-Force, with veteran guitarist Gary Moore. Throughout his career, Tony Newton has played on a large number of gold records. He has performed and recorded with the Mamas and Papas, Honey Cone, Little Richard, Hugh Masekela, Smokey Robinson, Aretha Franklin and many others.
