Since January 2009 Malmsjö GVI is no longer supported by Tascam, and will not be further updated. We are therefore selling out our remaining stock. The software currently works on Windows XP (Service Pack 2, and Service Pack 3) and Windows Vista. In the final release of the software which is now available, the previous bug of an incorrectly mapped note is fixed.
The disontinued Malmsjö GVI was a sonically improved version of the Malmsjö sample library. It came with its own GVI playback engine, based on Tascam's GigaStudio technology, and featured Tascam's proprietary DEF filters for enhanced dynamics. It also included custom Larry Seyer impulse responses for the included convolution effect engine.
